Institutional Goals
In the process of fulfilling our mission statement and setting the stage for accomplishing our vision, we have certain steps which are part of our strategic plan. This plan requires the institution to reach the following goals:
- Offer coursework in both a nontraditional and a traditional format, both on our campus and through the Internet, that allows students to learn from both professors and other students through a format that is based on a Christian worldview. This diversity in learning formats challenges the intellect, involves new understandings and worldviews, is highly rewarding to the individual and results in a commitment to excellence in positive, Christian activities.
- Achieve excellence in everything we do.
- Provide the opportunity for experimentation in what constitutes learning, how people learn effectively, how the Internet can be used effectively in learning and dialogue about the future of Christian higher education.
- Offer learning experiences that encourage the mature, Christian individual who has goals and priorities as well as the courage to act upon them.
- Initially provide learning experiences in the fields of human development, organizational (for-profit and not-for-profit) management and Christian ministries.
- Serve our community in specific ways that will enrich the lives of the people therein.
- Have a community of scholars who have the resources to provide meaningful learning experiences for students and to make enriching investments in the lives of each other.
- Have a student body that is interested in learning, in developing its Christian faith, and in serving God and others in ways that are marked by faith, excellence, courage and commitment.
- Provide a campus setting that is conducive to these institutional goals and also provide the opportunity to learn in an equally conducive setting through the Internet.
- Function as an institution in a manner that is socially and financially responsible while continuing to work toward being a model of the well-managed institution.
