What Drives Us to Excel

The mission of Williamson Christian College is to facilitate a bachelors degree-granting, non-traditional, higher education culture of excellence in which the Christian worldview permeates the process by which adults will grow intellectually and spiritually.  

Our Purpose

Williamson Christian College exists in order to serve God, students of the College, society and our community, Williamson County, TN.  The specific areas in which we serve our students are:

  • SPIRITUAL  We endeavor to develop the faith of the individual in God - along with an understanding of how each Christian can and should relate to God in the process of deepening his or her faith.
  • INTELLECTUAL  We endeavor to develop the intellect of each student toward his or her potential through challenging precepts. Students are also challenged toward a clear understanding of the potential of the human intellect and how it might be used in development of self and society.
  •  SOCIAL  We endeavor to enhance the social skills of every student toward the goal of achieving excellence in human relations.  The Bible guides us in our relationships with others.  Each of us has talents and abilities which we should use in the service of God and others as well as in our own development.
  • FAMILY  We endeavor to support the concept of family as the basis for our day-to-day nurturing and means of demonstrating support for others.  Each student will be encouraged to honor the family and to participate fully in a family as a loving, caring individual.
  • CHURCH  We support the ministry and leadership skills of individuals in order for them to be more effective in the local church. This effort will be made with the intention of assisting individual Christians from various denominations.
  • CULTURAL  We endeavor to encourage an understanding, appreciation and respect of the various forms of culture in our society and to encourage students to participate in these forms as their talents and gifts enable them.
  • CIVIC  We endeavor to inspire a sense of responsibility and devotion to the community, state, nation and world in which we live demonstrated through personal actions where opportunity, wisdom, courage, talent and commitment enable us to serve.
  • VOCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL We endeavor to develop the understandings, skills and worldviews needed for excellence in efforts that students make in their vocations/professions.
  • PHYSICAL   We encourage students to appreciate, care for and develop the human bodies and minds God gave them in ways that will serve His will.
  • GOALS AND PRIORITIES We endeavor to help students in the practice of developing goals for themselves, their families, their churches and their work that are reviewed periodically; and in the practice of setting priorities that will allow for adequate attention to goals according to their importance in their lives.
  • ATTITUDES   We endeavor to encourage and assist students in the development of positive, Christian attitudes toward all aspects of life including God, society, family and self, as well as toward opportunities and problems they encounter in life.
