The College reserves the right to reject any applicant for admission or graduation for any reason the College determines to be material to the applicant's qualifications for admission or graduation.
In any situation in which the student's qualifications for admission are marginal or if the student has been denied, the applicant file will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee with the applicant afforded the opportunity to appear in person if he or she wishes. The deliberations of the Committee are not open to the public.
Each applicant at all levels shown above must complete and sign the Application for Admission form, submit original transcripts of prior academic work and pay the application fee before admission can be granted. A student may be provisionally admitted (incomplete student file) for up to one semester of enrollment, (12 semester credit hours). Official admission (student file complete with all required documentation) must be obtained by the end of the first semester (12 semester credit hours) in order for the student to continue enrollment. Admission acceptance or denial will be communicated to the prospective student via e-mail and / or written letter.
Applicants who have attended another institution must arrange for an original transcript to be sent to the College Registrar's Office. The Registrar will then determine the amount of credit previously earned that can be accepted in transfer to the College.
Applicants are urged to call or send an e-mail to the College to obtain information or to set up an appointment with a New Student Advisor or the Registrar. Visitors may come to the College during regular office hours or by appointment.
Applicants are advised that transferability of Williamson Christian College courses is governed by the receiving school.
Applicants may start the Application for Admission process by downloading the form here or by calling, visiting or writing the offices of the College. Applications are accepted at any time of the year for any program.
Late admission (admission to a program or course already started) is permitted at the discretion of the Registrar.
Readmission is permitted when restrictions put into place at the time of the student's earlier departure from the College have been resolved. Students on academic suspension may be readmitted at the discretion of the Admissions Committee after one full semester in which they are not enrolled at the College.
There are many options available if general education requirements are not met upon acceptance to the College. General education requirements may be taken online or at another institution. Columbia State Community College (an area college) accepts credits from Williamson Christian College. Johnson Bible College (near Knoxville, Tennessee) has a written articulation agreement with the College for full acceptance of credits. Courses are also offered periodically at the College. Applicants are advised to check with the Registrar to determine which course(s) will satisfy the requirements for graduation.
Any student who is not enrolled for a period of one year will incur the obligation of meeting changed requirements listed in the new catalog that is in effect when readmitted. The student must reapply for admission. There is no admission fee for a previously fully approved and admitted student.
